Public transportation to and from the Leavenworth is limited.  Do not depend on the services of a Taxi while staying in Leavenworth. The closest one is 12 miles east in Cashmere. He's happy to come to Leavenworth when he is called, but it can get a little pricey.   Please keep in mind that each year hundreds of tour bus groups visit Leavenworth, this can be a very nice alternative to driving long distances. Especially in winter conditions.
